I also use Ububtu 5.10 and I am impressed with the
kernel patches for Toshiba acpi...everything works out
of the box on my Satellite 2450 (only some relatively
minor tweaks required).

Cesar: To what "battery state" patches are you
referring? I suspect I need them...
