FWIW, I could not get the download version of Ubuntu 5.10 on my
Satellite A70 (or any of my desktops), either. However, I requested the
official version from the Ubuntu site and it installed without a hitch.
I used the same Mandriva machine that I have used for other distros to
do the burn, so I feel that I am pretty safe in assuming that the
download version of Ubuntu is the problem and not the hardware.
