Actually, that means that you should take a look at the omnibook kernel 
module before posting any bug reports ...

you can download it from here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=48623

unpack the sources, compile it, install it and, finally, load it ... if 
it loads o.k., then do a "cat /proc/omnibook/dmi" to see if your model 
is supported. If the omnibook kernel module loaded ok, but your Toshiba 
notebook is not supported, then feel free to file that bug report ;)

You can find more info about the omnibook kernel module and why some 
toshibas need that module instead of toshiba_acpi in the mail archives 
of this mailing list.

Yeah .. that kind of thing happens ... tell them not to buy buy any 
other toshiba product again ... I know I will not .. Toshiba is the kind 
of company that sell products that they didn't design/manufacture but 
will charge you as if they did, *without letting you know that they did 
not* ...
