  Hi,

I am trying desperately installing linux on my new laptop (Tecra L2)
but haven't succeeded yet. Ubuntu: hang when loading the kernel.
Mandriva: SATA error: no devices. SUse: DHCP issue. It seems like SATA
chipsets aren't supported and caused the problem. So I tried to modify
BIOS... No available option to switch from SATA to legacy ATA.
(according to: http://linuxmafia.com/faq/Hardware/sata.html )
Does anybody that has successfully installed linux on Tecra L2 give me
advice on this? It's better to know somebody has done this before or any
painless walkaround... Thank you.
