Manuel, Actually, you're doing pretty good. First, what flavor of Linux (you are running up linux?) are you using. Sometimes it makes a difference. Sound cards, in my experience, seem to be sometimes things. When I ran up Fedora Core 5 on my P15 a couple months ago, sound went away. I poked in all the usual places; it had been running with Core 4. (P15s have a volume whiz-wheel on the front of the machine that sometimes inadvertently gets turned way down ... gotta check that). Then magically, a month later, ran the sound wizard again and it worked. Go figure. There are several things wired in series vis sound. Are the drivers loading properly? (run lsmod and look for a bunch of driver modules that start with snd_......). Check the configurations and make sure speakers are turned on and turned up loud enough. Don't know enough about wpa_supplicant to help...sorry On Tue, 13 Jun 2006 02:13:28 -0400 "Manuel Aguilar" <[email protected]> wrote: > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > From: Manuel Aguilar <[email protected]> > Date: Jun 13, 2006 1:53 AM > Subject: Toshiba P100 core duo > To: [email protected] > > > Hello folks, > So here I am, trying to configure this nice laptop as much as possible. > > I managed to get > - ipw3945 up and running > - ethernet up and running > - nvidia driver running > > I'm missing : > - sound! module snd_hda_intel loads but there is not sound coming out > from the card.
