Hello World!

I am new to Toshiba Linux Group and I have as yet to make my Toshiba
'Linux'. I am not yet ready to tamper with the Windows installation on
my tablet in case the computer says no. I don't fancy installing on an
old slow 12Gb 2.5 drive that I could use because I like Linux too much
for that kind of space and disk speed limitation, plus the switching
back to windows would be a bit physical, requiring a screwdriver pre
boot.
The alternatives are the PCMCIA card - to have it boot from there first
- or 'Network PXE' from my 'Dell Linux Box' (650MHz Latitude, rescued
from an office clearout and working a treat under Penguin Power).

Does Flash work, or is it massively slow, particularly if 1Gb on a CF2
card, in a PCMCIA adapter? What about those microdrives, do they work,
or can you get any i-Pod drives to fit in there?

Or... is Network PXE over wireless the way to go?


Any help with this conundrum will be much appreciated.
