I have a Satellite P20 (=P25 elsewhere) with Phoenix BIOS.

Naturally the toshiba kernel modules don't load; and the toshiba
utilities won't work either.

However, my Fn-Fx buttons are partly working, e.g.

Fn-ESC -> mute on/off
Fn-F6 -> LCD brightness down, but dmesg shows: atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes
e06f <keycode>' to make it known.
Fn-F7 -> LCD brightness up, but dmesg shows: atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes
e059 <keycode>' to make it known.
Fn-F9 -> touchpad on/off, but dmesg shows: atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes
e01f <keycode>' to make it known. atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e01e
<keycode>' to make it known.
Fn-F10 -> ? LED lights up but don't recall what function this is...
Fn-F11 -> numpad on/off
Fn-F12 -> scroll lock, xev shows keycode 78 (keysym 0xff14, Scroll_Lock)

Note only Fn-F12 generated a keycode, the others listed above don't
generate keycodes.

Of the non-working Fn-Fx buttons, only Fn-F1 generates a kernel message:

Fn-F1 atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e06e <keycode>' to make it known.
 
When I load the omnibook kernel module, I can also use 2 of the 3
one-touch buttons to the right of the keyboard: Web and toshiba
console/help. I've mapper these to launch opera and thunderbird (using
hotkeys.) The video out button isn't recognised. The CD/DVD buttons on
the front panel are recognised also.

Btw I'm using a 2.6.12 kernel and Ubuntu 5.10 (which is Gnome based).
