Well, I am a Fedora user and 'reboot' works a treat, particularly now that I have the irqpoll option set in the startup script. Can you give it a go with nothing on the USB or in the PCMCIA - if that fixes it then it might be a problem with the peripherals starting, not the PC. If you have an older kernel kicking around you can try and boot from that - in that way you can diagnose if h/ware or s/ware. Happy rebooting - or restarting! -----Original Message----- From: Johannes Schrimpf [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 26 August 2006 09:31 To: [email protected] Subject: [tlinux-users:08079] cannot restart my Satelitte 2410-404 Hi, since a few weeks I can't restart my Satelitte 2410-404 from Linux (Ubuntu 6.06). If I restart (f.ex. restart -r now) it's a normal shutdown and the LEDs stay on, but somehow there is no signal to start again. I have to turn it off and turn it on again. With Windows it's no problem. I hope you can help me. Johannes ___________________________________________________________ All new Yahoo!
