Does the output of "lspci -v" for the NIC look like this:

04:08.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Intel(R) PRO/100 VE

If so, it should work with the stock driver. I am running FC5 on a
A105-S4004 and I have also used several live CDs and never had a
problem with the NIC. The wireless NIC is a bit more work, but you
can get that working with the driver from Sourceforge.
