Hello,
  Any one done an initial instal on such a machine?
  well, i have trouble doing this.
  1, Doing a partition on this machine this machine is a headache.
   when using partionmagic, it brings errors on re-boot that say that error, disk cannot be locked.
  even when you use the diskpart utility in windows, you will not be able to proceed.
    A work around this is to do a re-instal using the restore DVD and then after that, partitionmagic will work.
   
    After that, the partition come up well and even Operating System instals.
   
  2, am new to linux and I think i will get to love it more if i can succesfully instal it on this laptop.
   A friend gave me FC2 and  i copied it onto the HD but unfortunately, when i burn the files on CD , they fail to boot, i wonder how one copies such files to disk because the originals  i copied from can boot.
   I use a nero 6 burner.
     I will be grate full,
      Its also absurd that linux is not officially tested by Toshiba. anyway, with this Maling list, one cab atleast have users to get experience from.
