I wish I had the answer to this problem, but I was unable to make the temperature sensors work. I have SUSE 10.1 installed on a Satelite M-45. I also tried using PCLinuxOS's Live CD with no luck either. I just gave up on using those tools, because I figured the hardware just was not supported. It is not too much of a problem for me though, my unit is never on more that 45 minutes at a time. Did your laptop have one of the batteries that were recalled by Apple and Sony?
