Hi,

this is interesting, is this the reason for the P100 being quite hot in
the lower left corner of the keyboard?

And did you try the acpi=off boot? with what version of the nvidia drivers?

I have 1.0-9746, and when I boot with acpi=off, my X Server won't
come up. Didn't investigate the error messages yet.

The nvidia 1.0-9746 comes with a tool nvidia-settings, and that has
a Thermal Monitor section. There, the Slowdown Threshold is preset
at 115 degrees, and my current values of core and ambient temperature
are at 105 and 90 degrees.

Regs,
Jiri
