still running my Tecra A8 with the


[17191266.860000] APIC error on CPU0: 40(40)
[17191266.860000] APIC error on CPU1: 40(40)

error filling up my log files:

Does anyone around here have any more ideas what might be causing this
error? And, possibly, whether it (a) has more serious implications than
"just" filling up my logs and/or (b) how to get rid of it? The Ubuntu
6.10 kernel is SMP aware by default, and HT is enabled via grub. The
error does just appear if there is some load on the system (Eclipse and
a JEE app server running...).
