I've tried as you suggest. It still halts at the booting process when
"Initializing hardware... storage network" after I connet the laptop
to a DHCP lan( under which, WinXP can works well with the network). I
even tried to DISABLE build-in LAN(the LAN is accerated on the
mainboard), but it still halts...

Also, I waited patiently to see if it is trying to get a DHCP address,
whereas after more than 20 minutes, nothing happens~
