Did it come with Windows pre-installed with back-up
also on the HD? This caused major problems for setting
up Linux. I think it had something with the Windows
backup. Its been too long for me to remember exactly
how we got around the problem, but had to use Linux
disk partitioner (I'm no Linux expert, so a friend
helped.) 

SUSE 10.0 has more problems with Toshiba HW than 9.1
did (making me more Linux shy), but in the last couple
months I tried Knoppix and Ubuntu. Both run great. All
HW, but wireless is recognized and automatically
set-up correctly.
