Hi,

So far as I know, Ubuntu 6.10/7.04 goes well with my laptop(M100)
which also has a SATA disk. However, Ubuntu 7.04 has developed so
mature that is a good OS for desktop users. If u feel that something
might be wrong, I suggest to try the "alternative" version since it
could provide more options when installing. Or you could try Debian or
Gentoo which are much more flexible.
