[tlinux-users:08466] Ubuntu installed into a Tecra A6

My name is Oswaldo, I'm writing from Peru, and I just wanted to tell you that I just installed Ubuntu Linux 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) along with Windows XP Pro, into my Toshiba Tecra A6 (SP3032).
 
At first, I had a problem because the installer wouldn't let me shrink the Windows partition. That was because I had a window open into my Windows files. I just closed it, restarted the Live CD, and then I could resize the Windows part of my hard disk. I took 20 GB aside for Ubuntu, keeping 60 GB for Windows and files.
 
Then, I went to the Ubuntu page regarding multimedia content and it took me about half an hour to get it playing my MP3 files. Also, I had to follow the instructions in the Mediabuntu page to add DVD support. It just works! I'll be glad to enter into more detail, if needed.
 
Of course, I had to do nothing to get to read my network files.... Samba is active by default. I still need to run Windows because I have to run certain engineering programs. But for home use, Ubuntu is great!
 
So far, I've found out it can handle resume and hibernate modes, and  later I'll see about Palm synchro, SD cards, online banking (with Firefox), printing (I have a Lexmark multifunction printer - wish me luck), and the fingerprint reader.
 
Does anyone here have experience with those?
