I  tested  it again by  upgrading kernel  from 2.6.18 to  2.6.20 , but
found no change
. can  i try  another distribution as  in debian etch  i already   have
2.6.20 kernel ( upgraded  from
backports).


It uses 2.6.20 , if I recall correctly. The 2.6 series of kernel
