thanks for your answer.

I have Toshiba Tecra 8200 before, and for the modem I use slmodem driver 
to access it.
and it's work.
I use Fedora Core 2.

I use it, until 2 weeks ago my laptop was stealed.

In my used Tecra 8200, I cannot access IR too, because there is no 
reference on internet,
but in this Portege M100, I was found the hardware reference on 
internet, but still I cannot config my infra red.

maybe there is someone else who can solve my prolem ?
