Hi All,

I installed Debian Etch on a Dynabook SS SX 490NK (similar to the Protege R300).
Installation seems fine except that the only available vertical refresh rate is 60Hz, while the laptop manual states it supports 75, 85 and 100Hz.

I've added to the xorg.conf file:
Option "DDC" "false"
and
Option "DisplayInfo" "false"
 but it doesn't help.

Checking /var/log/xorg.conf shows the local flat panel (LFP) is identified and then any attempt to override the refresh rate of a generic monitor (60Hz) is ignored.

1. Any suggestions on how to enable the higher refresh rates? .
2. How can I find specifications on the laptop's monitor (WXGA 12.1") such as the horizontal rate? .

Thanks,
Joel.
