------=_Part_16959_28456181.1201099036191 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: inline Hi guys! thanks very much for both of your help. this means a lot to me. have to admit I found touse the Win98 driver odd therefore used the XP one which didn`t do the trick for me. in the meantime I got a reply from Realtek (see details below) and they sen= t me a package which should sort y problem out. unfortunately, I don`t understand the first few lines of the instruction :( Also with help from somewhere else and wikipedia found a "solution". after applying what I found there the device manager can detect my Realtek 8187B WLAN USB2 device but the wireless connection is not available as an option in the network manager. gonna give a go to the Win98 driver in a min. in the worst case I have to reinstall Ubuntu :) please take a look at the attached file I recieved from Realtek. download details: http://rapidshare.com/users/SKMDWN user password: 360FA61BC0 there are two directories on my rapidshare site. you will find the linux.rarfile in the Toshiba l40 realtek 8187b wlan usb2 folder.
