Heartbeat and IP forwarding

Hello, I'm using ubuntu 6.06 32bit server install. I have some services running on a machine (192.168.1.20). I startup hearbeat with a vip of 192.168.1.10. My problem is that I can't seem to get anything forwarded from .10 to .20. I have ipforwarding set. Any suggestions?
