Hello :) I have a small question that's bugged me for ages but only today have I remembered about it whilst sitting in front of a computer... In short... compare http://www.linux-ha.org/haresources "Note that it is absolutely mandatory for the haresources files to be identical on both machines." against the UM3 docs http://www.ultramonkey.org/3/topologies/ha-eg.html "To configure heartbeat, /etc/ha.d/ha.cf, /etc/ha.d/haresources and /etc/ha.d/authkeys must be installed. The node names in /etc/ha.d/ha.cf and /etc/ha.d/haresources have to be set according to the output of the uname -n command on each real-server." Are the statements from those two webpages not completely contradictory with respect to the haresources file? It makes sense that the haresources files on both Real-Servers should be identical, to tell the system which is the preferred master, yet UM3 is recommending to set it to the name of the local node? Or have I misinterpreted? I have heartbeat 1.2.3.cvs.20050927-1bpo1 and ultramonkey 3-1um.1 on Debian sarge... Love and hugs, Cheers, Gavin. -- Ultra Monkey - http://www.ultramonkey.org/ To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected], with a body: unsubscribe ultramonkey-users [email protected] where "[email protected]" is YOUR email address.
