checks for SMTP and POP service

Hi Friends,

I Have a query and its like i have configured ultramonkey load balancer  to
check for smtp and pop services.
Can you please tell me which checks are there i can define in /etc/ha.d/
ldirectord.cf file to check for the status of POP and SMTP services running
on real servers.

Please show me some light on this.
