Dear all,

I am building a USAGI network for research purpose. I
am not using autoconfiguration, but am rather
hard-coding the IPv6 addresses to the hosts. I then
found some strange behavior in the network when I
tried to ping6 around.

I have 2 machines A and B, which are connected through
a hub. I could ping6 from A to B with both global and
link addresses, but could only ping6 from B to A with
link address. Pinging with the global address from B
to A results "Destination Unreachable" error.

The global address for A is hardcoded as
3ffe:302:11:1:250:fcff:fe2a:b616

and for B is hardcoded as

3ffe:302:11:4:202:44ff:fe90:91af

Why would this happen? Any idea?

Thanks very much in advance.

Regards,

Patrick
