Any news on this ? Maybe this will be the solution ? I have this problem 
on our production
system, too. Maybe I can help with debugging, testing patches, money etc. ;)

This "Monster" follows me since....I don´t count anymore :(

ok no more "error -12", but the same asterisk hang, kill -9..., asterisk 
start procedure.
