The Desktop is completely useless. I cannot create folders on the desktop. I cannot save files to the desktop. KDE4 needs to wait for 4.1. Or until such time as the desktop, panels become useful again. I'm not lookiing for a debate or a flame war. But IMHO KDE4's eye candy is not worth the trouble of learning a new XWindows Manager if the XWindows Manager can't be managed. IMHO KDE4 is all style but now substance.
