I'm running it on my brand new laptop, a cutting edge gamers machine (and no, 
I don't play games ;)  I tried to install about 8 distros on this machine, an 
ASUS G2S-B2 and Fedora was the only one that would install. This is my hobby 
machine for Linux, so I'll stick with KDE4. It's got lots of problems, or at 
least there are many new ways of doing things that are keeping me from 
familiar KDE habits:

the worst: 
Yakuake has been a staple of my desktops for a couple of years - I like being 
able to press 'F12' and get a command line. It was set to run on startup. 
Now, it opens with 25 or 30 instances running, so many that the window lines 
for each instance fill the screen and obscure anything I try to type in to 
the currently running window; if I try to close instances, it seems to have 
the opposite effect, and open more.

I had KDE session control set to run a manually saved previous session; I 
can't seem to find that control now, so, I have to turn that feature off and 
go with a fresh start each time, or, set it to open like the previously 
closed session, but, that feature doesn't seem to work - for example, I have 
knetworkmanager running in my systray, I close the session and logout, I 
reopen, and the networkmanager applet doesn't appear - I have to go into 
menus and start it again

I really miss QuickLauncher and the replacement widget which just seems to 
place a floating KMenu window in the middle of the screen is not a 
satisfactory solution

I can't seem to be able to place any application icons on the taskbar - I've 
always had three or four of my most used apps there, but there seems to be no 
way to do that now - maybe I haven't found it, but, if so, it's not for lack 
of trying

These are just some preliminary observations - there are many more I could 
list...this is, for me, an early Beta - I'll stick with it, since that's 
where things are going, and maybe, as I get more familiar with the new 
paradigms, I can be helpful with bug reports and such. I'm not even going to 
attempt to file bugs right now, till I figure out more...
