Glad to hear that someone's on it. I like to use it as a talking book feature using project gutenberg texts. As for festival, in kde3 and fedora 7, it used to be possible to use the mbrola voices to get festival to read in german and french. In fedora 8/9, mbrola no longer works as a helper application for festival. I recently read on a gentoo list, I think, that festival has to be compiled with an mbrola flag enabled. Is it possible that fedora's festival is no longer compiled with the mbrola flag set to on? It would sure be nice for that to work again, as the mbrola voices are of higher quality, IMHO, and to get it to read in german and french as well as english would be a lot better. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
