Hello Folks, This is off topic, I know, but I am hoping some kind soul might have an answer for my X problem. After a normal shutdown yesterday, today I now find X will not start using init 5. I have checked the xorg.conf file and can see nothing untoward. Changing inittab file to init 3 and then using the command startx it takes quite a while for x to start. Along with this problem came cups and sendmail services taking forever to start during the boot process. Has anyone any idea what may have happened? -- Kind regards, Graeme Nichols. ...
