Hi Robert,

When i add use_vmac and vmac_xmit_base to a test keepalived.conf i see 
in the log:

Nov 20 13:10:56 logging Keepalived_vrrp[10671]: vmac: Success creating 
VMAC interface vrrp.10 for vrrp_instance test

I use Debian Wheezy and keepalived 1:1.2.13-1~bpo70+1, so maybe it's a 
CentOs issue, can you share your keepalived.conf so i can try it on my 
Debian machine?
