Hi,

please try with different versions of the Windows XP driver, it might 
solve the problem.

If not, instead of using the 'ifdown wlan0' command in a root shell 
before you close the lid, please run the 'dldrstop' command instead as 
the 'ifdown wlan0' command. The command will remove the DriverLoader 
module from the kernel which is not done by 'ifdown wlan0'.
