Re: [evlog-dev] --ANNOUNCE-- evlog-1.5.0 is available

Larry - thanks alot.  I'll check out the tarball.

I did notice one strange thing.  Maybe this is
something i'm doing wrong, and forgive me if its
a case of pilot error.

I built a 1.5.0 rpm for ia64 - no problem.  I
currently have 1.4.2 installed and running, with
2.4.18 variant kernel.  It seems that if i install
onto a box without 1.4.2 installed, everything
goes fine.  However, if i use rpm to upgrade
the 1.4.2 version to 1.5.0, something strange
happens -- the startup scripts from /etc/init.d
are deleted!

[root@ak /home/sjwoodr]# rpm -ivh
evlog-1.4.2-1.ia64.rpm

Its odd that it started the daemons, then
stopped them... and afterwards, the init
scripts are gone!

So, is this a case of improper use of rpm
or is there a problem here?
