Hi Folks

I was wrong or rather I was too optimistic.

Now that the dhcp lease is handled by the isc dhcpserver I can get a
lease but now DNS is failing on me.

I can observe low CPU load when dnsmasq is not running whereas after a
while it looks like

Mem: 48772K used, 7864K free, 13196K shrd, 0K buff, 13196K cached
CPU: 97.4% usr 1.5% sys 0.0% nic 0.0% idle 0.0% io 0.0% irq 0.9% sirq
Load average: 1.10 1.03 1.01 2/51 6006
PID PPID USER STAT VSZ %VSZ %CPU COMMAND
  4916 1 nobody R 1184 2.0 96.6 /usr/sbin/dnsmasq
  6006 6004 root R 1320 2.3 1.3 top
  1976 1 root S 4784 8.4 0.7 /usr/sbin/hostapd -B -P
/var/run/hostapd.pid /etc/hostapd/
  6002 1989 root S 4136 7.2 0.7 sshd: root@pts/0

you can easily see that dnsmasq is very prominent in this listing.

I will probably remove dnsmasq and go back to dnscache.

cheers
