   Definite issue.

There was a patch for an ntp problem in 2017. Not sure if related.

I'm looking all over for a solution. The problem is consistent on a
single processor machine (the 2017 patch was for SMP). Crashes more
times than not on most physical systems (SMP) at startup, but
   subsequent executions usually work.

   Testing 7.3.1.1

Getting an intermittent crash - particularly on startup - of ntp. If I
manually start it after this, it works. But I've seen it succeed on
startup on at least one of my test systems.

I found a similar report on Sourceforge from last year.
