These changes were made to make sure the user (usually a newbie) of a clean
new installed system would have to set a UserName and a Password before
connecting his system to the Internet.  This is what my previous post was
explaining. Apparently this causes this bug for upgraded systems ...
I'll come back to you after some more checkings ...
