Yes, took me a while to realise that this board is 64-bit (RTFM) So re-tried with the 64-bit UClibC 7 image. Still no luck as yet. The howto seems a bit out of order, creating ldlinux.sys before creating the vfat filesystem ? I _believe_ Jean-Roch which played extensively with this image posted the URL. I always forget to note it.... Try this URL: https://sourceforge.net/projects/leaf/files/Bering-uClibc/7.0.1/Bering-uClibc_x86_ser.img/download Just copy it to a USB stick using dd, it should start a LEAF instance with a serial console at 115200 baud. Once you have the system up and running you should be familiar with ist. I suggest to freshen up your knowledge about the upgrade and leafinstall utilities. The make things a lot easier.
