I did help with the LFS 6.2 PPC (while in Afghanistan) livecd and kept the way for x86 and x86_64. Recently have Ultra SparcIIIi from SUN but doubt many have an A70 machine laying around. So for jhalfs it used to create an ISO for the architecture. But had to have the required binaries around. Since my experience is so old, you are going to need help from the current JHALFS as it should have the create ISO in there, if not then it got removed by Huntley.
