libblockdev-3.3.1: json-glib not "optional" but "required"?

Following "SA 12.3 062 libblockdev", I tried to update libblockdev to
-3.3.1.  I tried to build without json-glib-1.10.6 as that package is
tagged as "optional".  But the build failed:

[...]
checking for json-glib-1.0... no

*** Libblockdev encountered the following issues during configuration:
No package 'json-glib-1.0' found

*** Libblockdev will not successfully build without these missing
dependencies


I could not find a switch to build without  json-glib, so I think this
dependency is not "optional" but "required".
