Hopefully, the XFCE-project will not go down the "systemd-only" path.
It's a good and underrated DE which would profit handsomly from an
overhaul esp. in the graphics-design area.  But they may not have enough
ressources for that.

I trust you will.  But it's sad that this is getting ever harder for no
good reason.
