An Honest Question

Hi all,

I'd like to pose an honest question to the maintainers of the various LFS
projects. Note that I have the greatest admiration for the efforts y'all
provide keeping the books current and accurate. My question is this:

How do you keep interested in the project so that you can contribute
some progress every day and not become bored with the repetitious tasks
required?

I build LFS on machines to avoid using modern versions of Windows. I
still use a Windows 7 machine for daily tasks and it works just fine for
me. I don't worry about security issues, and I monitor my bank accounts
daily. The most interesting parts are installing applications not native
to *LFS which require some workarounds for whatever various reasons.

Because I am fluent in C, C++, and Python (among other development
tools), I posses the ability to figure out and fix most any issue that
comes up. This is the fun part, venturing into the unknown.

But to constantly have to update the same packages over and over and
over again (some multiple times per month), would drive be crazy.

Again, I admire your work, I just want to know what keeps you from
experiencing burnout with the project.
