Instead of creating yet another fork and thus diluting forces, it may
make more sense to join an already existing project.  There are two that
I know of:

- an LFS-internal one, maintained by Randy McMurchy.  But I haven't
  heard much of it recently and so I don't know where it stands.

- a project by Kevin Buckley, based on the IMO interesting idea of
  unifying the two books into one:
