Re: Error building Gimp-3.0.4

I am not receiving posts from blfs-support at my email
address again. It was working for a while but has stopped.
I wanted to answer this post that I saw on the
blfs-support archive:

That's kind of a weird error. Can you first try GIMP 3.0.6? 3.0.4 has a 
series of remote code execution vulnerabilities in it (see 
https://linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/advisories/consolidated.html#sa-12.4-016)

Note that at the same time you will need to update gegl as well!

Please let us know how that works!

I didn't try gimp-3.0.6, but I tried a fix that I saw on the internet
that allowed me to successfully build Gimp-3.0.4. Before building
I entered:

  PYTHONUTF8=1
  export PYTHONUTF8
