For the record, I think it should be called Hardened LFS instead of Secure LFS. I heard no arguments last time I brought it up, so perhaps the name should change before lists are created. HLFS will offer instructions to build a hardened LFS by applying well recognized security techniques as well as teaching some common administrative practices. Along the way, security topics will be taught including how the most common exploits work. The end result will be a foundation in security knowledge, and a hardened operating system, that will allow the reader to further develop his/her system and education on the subject. How's that? -- Archaic Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Sometimes the law places the whole apparatus of judges, police, prisons and gendarmes at the service of the plunderers, and treats the victim - when he defends himself -- as a criminal. - Frederic Bastiat, "The Law" -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-security FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
