As you now know, top-posting is frowned upon here and other
open-source-related mailing-lists as well.  But AFAIK, a certain,
notorious email-client cannot be configured otherwise.

So I suggest that you install Thunderbird as an alternate/additional
email-client and use that for communicating with this list.  It's
certainly not a bad choice and also available for Windows.
