If you are rebuilding/upgrading GCC for an existing LFS system instead
of building a new LFS system, you should follow the BLFS GCC page (maybe
with some languages removed from --enable-languages= if you don't need
them).

Can you tell exactly what you've done?  At least, what's your previous
glibc and gcc versions?  How did you configure the old GCC (i.e. the
output of "gcc -v")?  How did you configure the new GCC?
