Hi bruce,

I had to move to one solution due to timelines and had to stick with the approach that is currently working and I cannot go outside of crux's pkgutils's pkgmk script

Debian 8 host machine
Lfs-7.8 (tools) -> lfs-8.2 (build)

This is still work in progress.

I will keep posted if your suggestion works on lfs-12.1 as time permits however made this fix to current build as you suggested however cannot confirm if it is the fix because the previous build of lfs-7.8 was working.

Thanks
Ramesh GK

Fix the error and try again.

   ln -sfv bash /usr/bin/sh
