You can do that but we are not satisfied that everything else builds/works properly.
We are testing that.  In the development book I just added the 7.0.5 kernel yesterday 
but just after I did that, the 7.0.6 kernel came out.

Generally you can just install the kernel with the instructions in LFS Section 10.3.

It's usually not needed for LFS, but read the section 'About Firmware' in BLFS.
