cannot compile dietlibc

I got a copy from the cvs. When I tried to compile it I got segmentation 
fault:

make: *** [bin-i386/elftrunc] Segmentation fault

Other info:

gcc --version
gcc (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu12) 4.3.2
