I have a Gateway mx6650 (MA2A). For some reason the modem doesn't
work. I have installed both snd_intel8x0m and slamr. Gnomeppp and
wvdial try to dial but fail on dial tone. Gnomeppp, when set to not
wait for dialtone, still fails. What else do I try. Heres the output
of wvdial:

a bootup process, but then enabled later. If modem drivers load
but the modem is not responsive, read DOCs/Bootup.txt about possible fixes.
